Every discipline SDI systems need, under one 35,000 sq ft roof.
Formed in 1994 by NDT engineers with thirty years of prior experience at Staveley Aerospace Systems, Qualcorp, and Automation Industries — SDI's Camarillo facility carries that lineage forward with every system it builds.
Camarillo, California
A 35,000 sq ft business park unit housing sales, design, and administration offices alongside a large-scale manufacturing facility, machine shop, and fully equipped applications laboratory. Every aspect of product design and manufacturing happens under this one roof.
Get Directions →SDI's fully equipped machine shop is staffed by highly skilled machinists working to the exacting tolerances NDT system components demand — including heavy-duty mills and lathes capable of machining 36 in. diameter, 1 in. thick stainless steel turntable face plates. The fabrication department runs state-of-the-art heavy-duty MIG and TIG welding equipment to produce rugged industrial tanks and frames.
All-welded construction spans the range from the SDI-5115 benchtop unit to the SDI-5440 dual-bridge system — a steel frame fabricated from 8 in. square section with ¼ in. wall thickness, supporting 3/16 in. stainless steel tank walls and a scan envelope measuring 20 ft x 10 ft x 8 ft.
SDI's fully equipped applications laboratory supports technique and equipment development. Level III staff carry out feasibility studies, customer trials, and small-batch testing — the same lab where in-house training and troubleshooting expertise gets built before it ever reaches a customer's floor.
